1. Acceptance of Terms & Relationship
By accessing, browsing, or utilizing the Attestly software platform, applications, or API services hosted at attestly.in (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you access the Platform on behalf of a college, university, or corporate enterprise ("Institutional Customer"), you represent and warrant that you possess the requisite authority to bind that entity to these Terms. Individual student and faculty users accessing through an Institutional Customer account are bound by both these Terms and their institution's acceptable use policies.
2. Acceptable Use of Cloud Compute & Compilers
Attestly provisions high-performance, containerized execution sandboxes for compiling and executing code across 70+ programming languages. You agree to use these computational resources solely for authentic pedagogical, competitive coding, and examination purposes.
You shall not under any circumstances:
- Deploy unauthorized cryptocurrency miners, background daemons, or network scanning tools.
- Attempt to break out of Docker/Linux container isolation or access peer container workspaces.
- Launch denial of service (DoS) attacks, brute force authentication endpoints, or exfiltrate platform secrets.
- Upload malicious binaries, worms, or payload scripts designed to compromise the host operating system.
3. Examination Integrity & Academic Honor Code
When participating in proctored examinations or Safe Exam Browser (SEB) sessions on Attestly:
- Candidates must complete all assessment tasks individually without unauthorized third-party collaboration.
- Bypassing kiosk restrictions, running hidden virtual machines, utilizing external keyboard relay hardware, or using unauthorized screen-sharing tools constitutes a severe violation resulting in immediate attempt invalidation and referral to the academic institution's disciplinary dean.
- Audit logs, keystroke timing telemetry, and incident timestamps generated during an exam sit are definitive evidentiary records provided to university examination controllers.
4. Intellectual Property & Course Content
Customer Ownership: Universities and enterprise partners retain full and exclusive ownership of all proprietary syllabi, specialized question banks, assignments, and test cases uploaded to their institutional tenancy.
Learner Projects: Learners retain copyright over their original code solutions, capstone projects, and repository submissions.
Platform Ownership: Attestly and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the platform codebase, visual design, compilers, state machine visualizers, proctoring algorithms, and cryptographic ledger protocols.
5. Service Availability & Enterprise SLA
Attestly targets a 99.9% uptime SLA for core portal and examination services. For scheduled semester examinations, institutions are encouraged to register their exam sits at least 48 hours in advance to guarantee dedicated worker container cluster pre-warming.
